В предлагаемом читателю небольшом русско-английском словаре содержатся фразовые глаголы, распространенные в англоязычной речи США. Его цель – помочь в освоении разговорного английского языка русскоговорящими студентами.
Одна из трудностей при изучении английского языка – овладение способами смысловой связи слов в предложении. В английском языке часть этих функций выполняют нередко предлоги. Особенно важны фразовые глаголы (устойчивые сочетание предлога с глаголом), которых в английском языке очень много.
При аутентичном переводе с родного языка на английский перед русскоговорящими возникают определённые трудности, поэтому мы предлагаем русско-английский словарь. Книга ценна тем, что в ней приведено множество примеров употребления фразовых глаголов в обыденных ситуациях. Предлагаемые примеры взяты из современных американских текстов и у носителей американского английского, что позволит усвоить правильное употребление фразовых глаголов в различных контекстах.
Словарь может быть полезен всем, кто изучает американский вариант английского языка.
